All 27 Medical Institutions within the “Georgian Clinics” Network Have Obtained International Accreditation

JSC “Georgian Clinics” — the country’s largest hospital network within the healthcare sector — has successfully completed the international accreditation process, and as of today, every medical institution within the network is fully accredited.

The Georgian Clinics network unites 27 medical facilities across the country, with representation in Tbilisi and almost every region of Georgia. In November 2023, the network began its cooperation with the German company KTQ, undergoing a seven-month preparation period for accreditation.

Following an assessment conducted by the accrediting organization in July 2023, all 27 medical institutions within the network received international accreditation. This achievement signifies the establishment of a safe environment for both patients and staff, as well as the delivery of high-quality medical services. KTQ representatives evaluated the implementation of six international categories on-site, including: employee orientation, patient orientation, safety and clinical risk management, information and communication, leadership, and governance.

Across the network, over 300 medical protocols and SOPs were developed for each hospital. More than 50 processes were updated, and the infrastructure was brought into alignment with international standards. The digitalization of processes was initiated, along with the creation of a patient satisfaction assessment and continuous monitoring system. Quality indicators were introduced, and a risk identification and mitigation protocol was implemented. During the preparation phase, around 50 training sessions and simulations were conducted.

The certificate granted by KTQ confirms that the medical institutions within the network maintain a patient-centered environment and a quality of service that meets international standards.
